EEAS Press Team
The European Union deeply regrets the deportation by Thailand of the group of 40 Uyghurs to China in a breach of the principle of non-refoulement and Thailand's obligations under national and international law as a member of the Human Rights Council.
The EU urges the Chinese government to abide by its obligations under national law, including its own Constitution, and international law, to respect and protect the human rights of the 40 Uyghurs returned to China.
