The so-called final ruling by the "Uyghur Tribunal" is nothing but a political farce staged by a handful of contemptible individuals, the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a statement released on Thursday after the fake tribunal "ruled" that China "commits genocide" in its Xinjiang region.

The "Uyghur Tribunal" hired liars to make false statements and falsify evidence, in an attempt to craft a political tool to disrupt Xinjiang and smear China. This so-called "tribunal" is completely void of any legal basis and has no credibility at all, the FM spokesperson said.

"The malicious intention of its previous anti-China activities has been laid bare by facts and deplored by perceptive people in the international community," the spokesperson said, noting that the so-called final verdict made by such a machine churning out lies is just a political farce performed by clowns, according to the statement.

"Lies remain lies, no matter how many times they are repeated. Lies cannot cover up facts and truth, cheat the international community, still less stop the historical trend of stability, development and prosperity in China's Xinjiang," the FM spokesperson said, noting that such a stunt is doomed to be swept into the trash can and spurned by people.

On the same day, the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy in the UK also released a statement saying that the so-called "Uyghur Tribunal" is a fake tribunal funded by the terrorist secessionist organization "World Uyghur Congress" and carried out by a small group of anti-China secessionists as a political tool for swindling.

The tribunal is not a legal body, but a fake court without any legal power. The "tribunal" and its so-called verdict are nothing more than a poor performance by anti-China secessionists for their own amusement, and no rational person with a conscience can be deceived by them, the spokesperson of the Chinese Embassy noted.

According to the spokesperson, Xinjiang-related issues are not about religion, ethnicity or human rights at all, but about combating violence, terrorism, separatism and extremism.
