Chinese Military Provider Reports Record High of Plane Seats Production

AVIC HangYu, China's only military equipment company, reported a record high of ejection seats production in 2014 to meet the need of the Chinese military to upgrade its weapons and military equipment, according to China Aviation News.

The PLA Air Force's provider manufactured more than 700 ejection seats of over 100 models by the end of last year, 50 % more than the year of 2013, the newspaper reported.

It said the company also accepted an additional large amount of orders from the Air Force and Navy.

The growing number in ejection seats production indicates the PLA may be actively producing new-generation aircrafts, the newspaper said.

AVIC HangYu is a subsidiary of Aviation Industry Corporation of China that develops and manufactures aviation equipment for life-saving, airdrop and airborne purposes.
