BEIJING, Dec. 20 -- China's State Council, or the cabinet, has urged government organs and institutions to crack down on freeloaders.
In China, institutional and management loopholes mean some people continue to receive a wage without reporting for duty or make false claims for government funding.
Freeloaders greatly harm the image of the Communist Party of China and the government, which should be dealt with, said State Councilor Yang Jing at a national televised-conference on Friday.
The rooting out of freeloaders is in line with the country's anti-corruption drive, which began in 2013 with the aim of cultivating closer ties with the people, Yang said.
