January 13 (from RIA Novosti correspondent)-- Russian President Boris Yeltsin proposed to Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko a comprehensive programme of specific measures to speed up and deepen the integration processes in the Community of Russia and Belorussia. As the press service of the Russian President reports, the programme is set forth in Boris Yeltsin's message to Alexander Lukashenko as the current chairman of the Supreme Council of the Community. Among other things, the programme provides for the establishment by the Community of Russia and Belorussia of a system of supra-national bodies of administration by stages.
As Sergei Yastrzhembsky, press spokesman for the head of the Russian state, said at a briefing here today, the Boris Yeltsin message puts forward a strategic idea of the possibility of holding a referendum on the question of unification of the two states "in some or other form."
