
Press release on Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov

On October 31, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov in Minsk on the sidelines of the 2nd International Conference on Eurasian Security.
The two ministers discussed the current bilateral and international agenda, praised bilateral cooperation and coordination in the international arena in accordance with the Programme for Coordinated Foreign Policy Action by the States - Parties to the Treaty Establishing the Union State for 2024-2026. They reaffirmed their commitment to further deepening integration within the Union State, including defence and security cooperation. The parties stressed their resolve to stand together with like-minded people against the sanctions and legal pressure of the collective West. They also expressed readiness to step up cooperation within the leading associations of the Global Majority countries, including the SCO and BRICS.
The ministers outlined the schedule of further contacts, including the annual joint meeting of the collegiums of the Russian and Belarusian Foreign Ministries in late November this year.
