
Rights of Chinese enterprise should be fully protected, says Chinese FM on US firm eyeing lease of Darwin Port

In response to a report saying a US private equity firm expressed interest in purchasing the lease for Australia's strategically important Port of Darwin from Chinese company Landbridge Group, Mao Ning, spokesperson from China's ministry of foreign affairs said at a regular press briefing on Tuesday that the relevant Chinese enterprise obtained the lease of Darwin Port through market means, and its legitimate rights and interests should be fully protected.
