Fourth Launch Center

The fourth launch center is near the city of Yasny , on an existing Russian strategic ballistic missile military base that serves as an underground silo launch facility Cosmodrome in southern Russia for the Dnepr SS-18 ICBM derived space booster. The silo launch site for the three stage Dnepr booster is said to be some six kilometers northwest of Dombarovsky, Orenburg Oblast.

So far there have been three launches from this facility of this Ukrainian built converted ICBM, Russian class space booster in cooperation with the Ukrainian Yuzhnoy Corporation. The joint venture company including Russia and the Ukrainian is called the International Space Company Kosmotras.
