Soviet New Year's/Orthodox Xmas and October Revolution Cards
Issued in 1959, this is one of the earliest postcards that depicts the Soviet achievement of Luna 2 impacting the lunar surface, with the trademark pentagonal emblem representing that milestone. The clock and steeple with the red star represents the Spaaskiy Tower in the Kremlin. The flag reads: "Glory to Soviet Science!"
