UK Space Agency Invests $5.4Mln in National Propulsion Test Facility

According to the agency statement, UK Space Agency is investing 4.12 million pounds ($5.4 million at the current exchange rates) in National Propulsion Test Facility that would be used for tests of space technologies.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The UK Space Agency is investing 4.12 million pounds ($5.4 million at the current exchange rates) in National Propulsion Test Facility that would be used for tests of space technologies, the agency said in a statement on Tuesday.

"The UK Space Agency is investing £4.12m in a National Propulsion Test Facility, giving the UK a new facility for space technology testing. The facility will allow UK companies and academia to test and develop space propulsion engines," the statement said.

The facility would be based at Westcott located in the central English county of Buckinghamshire, the statement specified.

According to the Space Agency, the investment would be allocated for the construction of a new infrastructure facilities at the site and enhancement of the existing ones' capabilities.
