50th Operations Group [50th OG]

The 50th Operations Group commands and controls over 50 operational satellites which support the National Command Authorities, federal and civilian agencies, and all U.S. and allied military forces. Additionally, the group supplies launch support and space environmental forecasts to these users.

The 50th Operations Group provides operational leadership, space operations crew training, and standardization and evaluation to over 1300 space system operators. In addition to spacecraft anomaly resolution, the group's 10 space operations centers perform 24-hour tracking, telemetry, and commanding during launch, early-orbit, and on-orbit spacecraft operations.

An additional operations center belongs to the group. It provides space environmental analyses, forecasts, and warnings of space disturbances that affect military operations.
