• WHO declares monkeypox outbreak int'l public health emergency People's Daily 24 Jul 2022 -- The World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared on Saturday that the current multi-country monkeypox outbreak outside of the traditional endemic areas in Africa has already turned into a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC).
• China ready to cope with imported monkeypox cases Global Times 24 Jul 2022 -- Although China has not reported any monkeypox cases, the country has raised its alert level and is ready to cope with the rapidly-spreading zoonotic infectious disease, health experts said on Sunday, after monkeypox was labeled by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a global health emergency, the highest level of alert.
• Monkeypox update: Delhi case India PIB 24 Jul 2022 -- A 34-year-old male resident of Delhi was isolated at Lok Nayak Hospital asa suspected case of Monkeypox. A confirmation of the diagnosis has been done by National Institute of Virology (NIV), Pune. The case is presently recovering at the designated isolation centre at Lok Nayak Hospital. The close contacts of the case have been identified are under quarantine as per the MoHFW guidelines. Further public health interventions like identification of the source of infection, enhanced contact tracing, testing sensitisation of private practitioners etc are being carried out. A high-level review of the situation has been planned by DGHS at 3 PM today.
• Delhi Registers its First Case of Monkeypox as WHO Declares Public Health Emergency of Int'l Concern Sputnik 24 Jul 2022 -- Globally, over 16,000 cases of monkeypox have been reported from 75 countries and there have been at least five deaths so far due to the outbreak. The Monkeypox virus is transmitted from infected animals to humans via indirect or direct contact. Human-to-human transmission can occur through infectious skin or lesions and respiratory droplets.
• Over 400 Monkeypox Cases Registered in Italy - Health Ministry Sputnik 24 Jul 2022 -- Italy has confirmed a total of more than 400 monkeypox cases, the country's Health Ministry Prevention Director General Gianni Rezza said after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the current disease outbreak a public health emergency.

• India's Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 201.99Cr India PIB 24 Jul 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 201.99Cr (2,01,99,33,453) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 2,66,54,283sessions.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 24 Jul 2022 -- As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, Government of India has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalization of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply (free of cost) 75% of the vaccines being produced by the vaccine manufacturers in the country to States and UTs.

• Taiwan reports 21,737 new COVID-19 cases, 65 deaths CNA 24 Jul 2022 -- Taiwan reported 21,737 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, all but 277 of which were domestic infections, and 65 deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
