OFAC designated Obed Christian Sepulveda Portillo pursuant to Executive Order (E.O.) 14059 for acting for or on behalf of the Cartel de Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG), a violent drug trafficking organization based in Mexico responsible for a significant proportion of fentanyl and other deadly drugs trafficked into the United States.

The drug, sold at 13,300 yuan ($1,985) for two injections, reportedly could provide protection for at least six months. However, considering the potential for an epidemic caused by the BA.4 and 5 subvariants, it requires a higher dosage of neutralizing antibodies to provide protection, media reported on Sunday citing experts.
• Shanghai to build its first nucleic acid testing industrial park Global Times 11 Jul 2022 -- Shanghai's first nucleic acid industrial park will start construction in the Shanghai Hangzhou Bay Economic & Technological Development Park in the middle of July, with a planned area of 3 square kilometers. A 720-mu (48 hectares) of pilot area will be built for the nucleic acid industries during the early phase, media reports said.

• COVID - 19 Vaccination Update - Day 542 India PIB 11 Jul 2022 -- India's COVID-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 198.99 Crore (1,98,99,21,302) today. More than 9 lakh (9,28,732) Vaccine Doses have been administered till 7 pm today. The daily vaccination tally is expected to increase with the compilation of the final reports for the day by late tonight.
• Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs India PIB 11 Jul 2022 -- The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country. The nationwide COVID 19 vaccination started on 16th January 2021. The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced from 21st June 2021. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through availability of more vaccines, advance visibility of vaccine availability to States and UTs for enabling better planning by them, and streamlining the vaccine supply chain.

• Taiwan reports 19,131 new COVID-19 cases, 96 deaths CNA 11 Jul 2022 -- Taiwan reported 19,131 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, all but 80 of which were domestic infections, and 96 deaths from the disease, according to the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC).
