DP DPI RS "QUANTUM RADIATION"

DP DPI RS State Enterprise RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF RADIATION SYSTEMS "QUANTUM RADIATION" (abbreviated as the DP DPI RS "QUANTUM RADIATION") was created in 1996 as a result of industrial restructuring. The specialization of the enterprise is the development of radio-electronic equipment of various purpose. The Institute is a member of the State concern "UKROBORONPROM".

The staff of the institute is a staff of engineering and technical staff, specialists of high qualification, which includes about 10% of candidates and doctors of technical sciences, academicians of the Academy of Applied Radio Electronics and the Academy of Technological Sciences. For more than twenty years, the staff of the State Research Institute of the Research Institute of Quantum Radiology has been providing the latest radioelectronic systems using a promising element base of world manufacturers.

Many years of experience in the development, production and operation of radio-electronic systems, use of advanced design methods have allowed the State Scientific Research Institute of Quantum Radiology to achieve significant success in the following areas:

  • development of modern REA for observation of air and surface space, detection of small-sized objects, over-flight detection of surface targets;
  • creation of opto-electronic armament control systems;
  • creation of integrated data collection and processing systems from various sources of information;
  • modeling of modes of operation of radio-electronic complexes and their components in real conditions of use;
  • modernization of radio-electronic systems of various purpose for expanding their functionality and improving the basic tactical and technical characteristics.

The staff of the Institute has developed a number of stations, complexes and systems that meet the modern requirements of their use, namely:

  • three-phase ship-based radar with phased array antenna with phase-frequency control of the radiation pattern;
  • multifunctional shipborne radar complex of short-range detection of targets, which include: passive radar station, active radar and mutual information exchange station, mutual orientation and common combat management;
  • opto-electronic system of control of armament of the fighting machine;
  • onshore and ship coherent pulse radars;
  • an integrated system of information processing and control for command points of various levels.

    Developments of the State Research Institute of Quantum Radiology are protected by patents for inventions and utility models. According to the results of research and development, the Institute's scientists have published more than 100 publications in professional journals.

    The peculiarity of radar stations, complexes and systems created at the Institute is the use of high-performance signal and track processing processors, the use of open architecture information processing tools, built on the basis of highly efficient programmable logic integrated circuits. The widespread use of new digital data processing products ensures high quality, reliable technology and high upgrade capabilities.

    A distinctive feature of the created stations, complexes and systems is the use of solid-state construction of high-power transmitting devices in different ranges of ultra-high frequencies, the use of active radar stations with a phased array, passive radar stations with continuous overlapping of a wide frequency range with an acceptable reception. The created electronic systems have successfully passed all kinds of tests, have been praised by Ukrainian and foreign specialists, and today they are successfully used both in Ukraine and in many countries of the world.
