Engineering group "Azov" has released a few new interesting new products, in more detail, they can be found on the official site of the team. The name of this group had been frequently heard, for example, Azov specialists presented the concept of the new Ukrainian Tirex tank, and earlier they began testing the Azovets tank combat vehicle (BMPT). In October 2016, for the first time, other developments of the Engineering Group "Azov" were presented.
Another interesting novelty is the heavy universal automobile company "Azovochka". We heard about this infantry fighting vehicle before, but saw it only now. Apparently, like the Azovites BMPT, it will be performed on the basis of the main T-64 battle tank. This BPT in general became a very popular "donor" for developers from Ukraine. The fact is that after the collapse of the USSR in the country there are many T-64. By the way, on its base, will be built a tank "Tirex". As for Azovoychka, it will be very useful to the Ukrainian armed forces, who are in great need of well-protected BMPs.
Azov's Engineering Group is about ten men working under the creative direction of the battalion's own "crazy professor," Mykola Stepanov. In general, the information on new developments of the engineering group "Azov" is rather scanty. The staff of the Engineering Group "Azov" was formed in the summer of 2014 by the radical group Azov battalion with a workshop. It was the only volunteer battalion with its' own tank factory. Then the first purchases and the first repair of the equipment used by the Azov regiment were carried out. The latter emerged as a voluntary association, and then became part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. Currently, the Engineering Group Azov employs experienced specialists who previously worked at the Kharkiv plant Malyshev, a well-known manufacturer of armored vehicles. However, because of the crisis in the Ukrainian economy, mass production of the samples presented seems unlikely.
