It is in the order of Army, Naval forces, and Air Force.
Total Armed Forces: 230,000
Excludes strategic forces and
Black Sea Fleet. Ukraine's military
forces include Commonwealth of Independent
States-controlled forces in Ukrainian
territory. The military is currently
being restructured to incorporate naval
forces from the former Soviet Union. (1992)
One infantry battalion is stationed
with United Nations peacekeeping forces
in Bosnia & Herzegovina.
