Aerotechnics-MLT
The research and production enterprise was created on April 29, 1991 by a group of young officers - graduates of the famous Soviet military school KVIRTU PVO, who, after being dismissed from the army, found application of their knowledge and skills in the most difficult economic conditions prevailing in Ukraine in the early 90's.
In those years, a private enterprise specializing in the development and production of such a science-intensive and technically sophisticated product, such as means for radar support of air defense, air force and air traffic control, was given a number of tasks on which the future of the company depended. The situation was aggravated by the lack of any state support for scientific and technological developments in this area, the chronically inadequate financing of the internal defense order and the general difficult economic situation in the country. Under these conditions, the management of the enterprise decided to concentrate the scientific and technical potential of the company on the development and implementation of new models of equipment that can be competitive both in the domestic and foreign markets.
Today, the development of the enterprise allows for automatic data retrieval from virtually all existing survey radars and radio altimeters. The installation of extractors allows in a short time and at low cost to upgrade the old radar equipment to a level comparable to modern samples. The indicated advantages of such modernization were appreciated by a number of users primarily in states whose air defense system is based on the use of Soviet-made radar equipment. High product quality combined with a flexible approach of the enterprise to the needs of the customer allowed expanding the range of modernized radars from Soviet-made radars to radars of well-known western manufacturers.
In addition, NPP Aerotechnika-MLT has become an active participant in projects for the modernization of civilian radar equipment. So, the enterprise created Air Traffic Control Centers and introduced certain elements of air traffic control automation in a number of foreign countries. It is worth noting that all air traffic control systems developed and delivered by Aerotechnika are certified by the State Department of Aviation Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine and approved for air traffic services.
