22nd Fighter Squadron
The 22nd Fighter Squadron is an element of the 4th Fighter Group, 455th Tactical Fighter Wing and is located at Chiayi Airbase. The squadron flies the F-16A/B fighter aircraft.
On January 25, 1999 an F-16B aircraft from the 22nd Fighter Squadron crashed into a mountain killing both members of the crew.
On June 01, 1999 an F-16A aircraft from the 22nd Fighter Squadron crashed into the sea. The cause of the accident are unknown.
