Fast Attack Craft (FAC) Squadron Pin

FAC Squadron Pin is awarded to naval personnel on temporary and permanent basis under following conditions:

Temporary Award

Following naval personnel are eligible.

i. Commanding Officer (FAF 4), Squadron Commanders & Training Commander.

ii. All officers/sailors who are being attached to FACs.

iii. All officers/sailors who are being attached to FAF4 training team.

iv. Any officers/sailors who are being attached to FAF 4 Staff and recommended by Commanding Officer (FAF 4)

i. Who have served at least considerable 01 Year period on board operational FACs.

ii. Any officer/sailor who has injured onboard an FAC in action and unable to serve continuously FACs due to the same injuries. Then his service period is not considered.

FAC Squadron Pin should be worn on center of the left pocket and 0.25 inch above the colour bar.

The Surface Warfare Badge is awarded to naval personnel who have served at least 04 Years onboard ships/craft with following conditions.

For Officers

i. Consider the basic training period onboard ships/craft.

ii. Minimum length of the service is 06 years.

iii. Should be promoted at least the rank of Lieutenant except service entry officers.

i. Minimum length of the service 06 years.

ii. Should be advanced at least the rate of Leading Seaman.

Surface Warfare Badge should be worn on center of the left pocket and 0.25 inch above the colour bar.

Artificers Badges are issued all artificer branch sailors who advanced up to Artificer IV rate or enlist Artificer IV and above rates.

Artificers’ Badge should be worn on center of the left pocket and 0.25 inch below the top level.

Commendation Badge

Commendation Badge is issued to naval personnel who have awarded Letters of Commendation from the Commander of the Navy. The number of letters is indicated with the badges including stars.

How to wear

Commendation Badge should be worn on center of the left pocket and 0.25 inch below the top of the pocket.

All Officers/Sailors who are qualified as Divers are eligible to wear Diving Badge. Further all naval personnel who are in diving branch eligible to wear Diving Badge. 

How to wear

Diving Badge should be worn on center of the right pocket and 0.25 inch above the top level of the name tally.

Any naval personnel who have completed at least three months Bomb Disposal Course can wear Bomb Disposal Badge with his uniforms.

Bomb Disposal Badge should be worn on center of the right pocket and 0.25 inch above the top level of the name tally.

Para Badge

Officer/Sailor will be eligible to wear Para Badge on successfully completion of basic Para Course. Further he should complete five Para jump including a night jump.

Para Badge should be worn on center of the right pocket and 0.25 inch above the top level of the name tally.

Officer/Sailor will be eligible to wear Special Boat Squadron Badge on successfully completion of basic Special Boat Squadron Course.

All Naval Provost Branch officers will be eligible to wear Naval Provost Badge.
