Type 331 Neštin Multi-purpose river ship
Multi-purpose river ships, type 331, class "Neštin", were built at the "Brodotehnika" Shipyard in Belgrade, under the development code S-25 / B-47 and put into operation in the period from March 31, 1975 to June 29, 1979. For the needs of the Yugoslav Navy River Flotilla, six multi-purpose river ships (minesweepers), type 331 were built.
Multi-purpose ships in River Flotilla of the Army bears the names and designations of the following: RVB-332 "Titel" (in use since March 1, 1977), RVB-335 "Apatin" (since March 16, 1979) and RVB -336 Smederevo (dated 29 June 1979). The ships are powered by two 191 kW (260 HP) diesel engines, which develop a maximum downstream speed of 28 km/h. The ship's autonomy is 15 days, with a sailing distance of 4,000 km. The material used in the construction of the ships is an aluminum alloy.
Multi-purpose river ship, type 341, class "Novi Sad", was built at the "Brodotehnika" Shipyard in Belgrade, under the designation "S-25N" and was put into operation on April 25, 1999. The state-of-the-art multi-purpose river warship RVB-341 was launched on June 6, 1996, as a modification of the "Neštin" river minesweeper.
The modification of the ship RVB-341 involved greater firepower, smaller physical fields, which allowed for a safer passage across minefields, increased payload and greater hull strength. The modified RVB-341 has a built-in air-conditioning chamber, air recirculation unit and increased crew comfort.
In the navigable units of the River Flotilla, the training of soldiers of the river units on the voluntary military service of the September and December class is in progress. The entire crew is involved in conducting training, because the key to the training of ships is the ability of each individual to perform individual and collective tasks. The knowledge adopted in the cabinets, under the watchful eye of the officers, is practically applied by the soldiers at their battle stations, both at the anchorage and in navigation.
The complexity of ship systems, the embarkation of younger personnel on board and training checks for individual and collective tasks on ships of the River Flotilla require that the training process take place throughout the year. The contents of the training for soldiers serving in the military units in naval units are represented in both training periods, so they spend three quarters of the military service loaded on vessels and means of river detachments.
