Yakovlev Yak-LSh (Yak-25LSh) light "Shturmovik"

In accordance with the TTT of the Air Force, in KB Yakovlev worked out two options lung frontline attack aircraft. The first option provided for the creation of a fully new plane and engine, which would require at least five years for its construction, testing and mastering in mass production. The second option was carried out on the basis of located on armament interceptor fighter Yak-25 by altering the fuselage, installing related equipment and weapons and could be created within 5-6 months. Interceptor Yak-25 with two AM-5 turbojet engines of 2000 kg each, swept wing and bike chassis proved to be in operation as exclusively reliable, safe airplane, easy to pilot and available for quick development.   • fuel tanks reliably practiced;
  • at quality stationary weapons mounted two guns GSh-23 with an ammunition load of 400 shells and fuselage reactive unit shells ARS-57 or KARS-57 per 100pcs.,
  • mounted under the wing six pylons for external suspension various weapons;
  • ejection seat provided for the rescue of the pilot on all flight modes, including take-off and landing.

The battleload Yak-25LSh was normal - 1500 kg, maximum-3000kg Range bombing armament included bombs caliber 50, 100, 250 and 500 kg of all types. On six underwing pylons could accommodate up to four overhead containers with GSh-23 cannons and ammunition (by250 shells).
