Mi-60 Light Helicopter
The multipurpose helicopter of light class Mi-60[MAI] is developed from the autumn of 1993 g. under the management of academician [M].[N].[Tishchenko] by the department of the design of the helicopters of Moscow state aviation institute with participation of the specialists of joint stock company "[MVZ] of [im].[M].[L].[Milya]" and joint stock company "Of [rostvertol]". The helicopter, controlled by one pilot, is intended for the transportation of two passengers or equivalent load both inside the cab and during the external suspension. It can be used also for the instruction of crew, patrolling of the extensive objects, conducting of agricultural works, servicing the organs of law, ecological monitoring, cine- and photography, sport and tourism.
The design of helicopter Mi-60 of the MAI began by assignment state committee on science and technologies RF in the two-place version with one motor. Technical proposal was obtained in 1994. the positive conclusion of the scientific and technical council of the department of aviation equipment the MAI with the participation of the representatives of the leading scientific research and planning organizations of civil aviation and aircraft industry of Russia. In 1997. at the proposal of the administration of ground forces MO RF, which is considered expedient under the existing economic conditions to use a helicopter of this class for the initial pilot training, project was executed in the twin-engined version. In the opinion the management of Russian defense- sport technical society two-place twin-engined helicopter is optimum for the initial pilot training and under the conditions of aero clubs.
In 1998. at the proposal of joint stock company "[Rostvertol]", on which is planned series production Mi-60[MAI], helicopter lift was increased in such a way as to transport two passengers or load equivalent throughout the mass. In content of equipment were included the de-icing system of the blades of carrier and tail rotor, the system of the heating and the ventilations of the cab
Helicopter is designed on the basis of the traditional technical solutions, augmented by the foremost achievements of helicopter construction and by the possibility of introducing the promising technologies of the production of aggregates with the wide use of composite materials. Project is developed in accordance with the requirements of the special standards of airworthiness, comprised on the basis of Russian [NLGV]-2 and American standards FAR-27. As the power plant Mi-60[MAI] is provided for the use of two piston air-cooled engines M-332[a] of Czech firm scrap Prague (Lom-Praha), with takeoff power on 140 hp the presence of two engines increases flight safety with failure of one of them, ensures a good static ceiling and it stored up power for the work of the de-icing system of heating and ventilation of cab. The layout of helicopter makes it possible sufficient simply to produce the replacement of engines to others, close ones in the characteristics.
Helicopter is designed according to classical single-rotor design with three-bladed carrier and two-bladed by tail rotors. Fuselage is the combined truss- skeleton construction with the panels and the cowlings, made from composite materials. In the forward fuselage section the closed flight deck, which has three doors, is found. Is to the left established the place of pilot, to the right - the place of the first passenger, where in the training version second control can be established. From behind them is located the seat of the second passenger. In the center fuselage are located the engines, the summing and main rotor gearboxes, two fuel tanks. Engines are connected with the summing reducer through the free-wheeling clutches and the cohesion.
Helicopter rotor Mi-60[MAI] has "[bespodshipnikovuyu]" bushing with the elastic element, which fulfills the functions of the hinges of classical swing screw. The blades of rotor are made from fibrous composite material by the method of coil. Bushing of tail rotor - with the general slanting flapping hinge and the feathering hinges. The blades of carrier and tail rotor are equipped with de-icing system. Chassis - skid type. System of control of the classical type of boosterless diagram with the spring mechanisms of load. Flight and radio communications equipment they ensure piloting helicopter in the daytime in the simple meteorological conditions.
Helicopter Mi-60[MAI] during the solution of number of problems will be able to replace the utilized at present heavier and more expensive helicopters. In the all-passenger layout it will be able to transport one passenger, also, to 120 kgf of small loads or two passengers and to 40 kgf of load to the distance 400 km in the cargo version it will be able to transport to 200 kgf of load or special equipment to the distance 400 km the patrol version of helicopter it will ensure the control of the extensive objects for three hours. The potential need of the market of Russia for the helicopters of this weight category is evaluated at 400-600 pcs project Mi-60[MAI] it was honored appreciation in a number of international exhibitions.
The full-scale technical mock-up of helicopter is at present built. Further fate of program depends on the presence of investors.
