19th Infantry Regiment

The 19th Infantry Regiment was originally activated as the 19th Regiment on November 20, 1948 at Kwangju and was first commanded by Maj. Min Byong Gwon. The unit was initially assigned to the 7th Infantry Division when that unit was activated in May 1949.
