Tactical Operations Group 8 (TOG 8)
Tactical Operations Group 8 (TOG 8) is based at Tacloban Airport, Visayas. Its mission is to plan, control and coordinate the employment of air power in its area of responsibility. Its specific functions include: planning and coordinating the employment of tactical air assets; determining tactical air requirements in its area of responsibility; exercising operational control/supervision over all PAF elements deployed/attached; conducting tactical air operations within its area of responsibility; performing forward air control missions; performing airfield operations and service support functions; and performing other functions as directed by higher headquarters.
