Composite Air Support Force 3 (CASF 3)
Tactical Operations Group (TOG 3) is based in Camp Aquino, Tarlac. The mission of TOG 3 is to plan, control and coordinate the employment of air power in its area of responsibility. Its specific functions include: determining tactical air requirements in the AOR; exercising operational control/supervision over all Air Force Units deployed in the AOR; conducting tactical air operations within the AOR; performing forward air control missions; performing airfield operations and service support functions; and performing Civil Military Operations (CMO) within the AOR.
TOG 3 traces its lineage back to Composite Air Support Force 3 (CASF 3), which was activated on 25 March 1985 under the 1st Air Division and later under the Air Defense Command. On 15 October 1988, CASF 3 was redesignated as Composite Tactical Group 3 (CTG 3), pursuant to General Orders Number 426, Headquarters, Philippine Air Force, dated 15 October 1988. On 1 February 2001, the Composite Tactical Group 3 was redesignated as Tactical Operations Group 3 (TOG 3) pursuant to General Orders Number 32, Headquarters, Philippine Air Force dated 31 January 2001.
