460th Maintenance and Supply Group

The mission of the 460th Maintenance and Supply Group is to perform, coordinate, and supervise the operation of maintenance and supply functions for the 15th Strike Wing. Its specific functions include: Performing field maintenance on aircraft and aircraft equipment; providing for reclamation of aircraft; recieving, storing, and accounting for ammunition and providing for maintenance and installation thereof; providing for reclamation and maintenance of armaments, airborne and ground communication and electronic equipment; and providing for the receipt, storage, and issuance of all classes of supplies in support of 15th Strike Wing units.

The 460th Maintenance and Supply Group was activated on 16 June 1992 pursuant to General Orders Number 307, Headquarters, Philippine Air Force, as part of the 15th Strike Wing.

The 460th Maintenance and Supply traces its lineage back to the formation of the 15th Strike Wing's Office of the Chief of Maintenance, which had the 21st Field Maintenance Squadron, 22nd Supply Squadron, and 23rd Avionics and Armaments Maintenance Squadron under its command. The 15th Strike Wing had been activated on the 26 November 1973. The units were designated numerous times before being reorganized into the 460th Maintenance and Supply Group in 1992. The units assigned to the newly formed group were the 461st Field Maintenance Squadron (later redesignated the 461st Field and Depot Maintenance Squadron), the 462nd Supply Squadron, and 463rd Avionics and Armaments Squadron (later redesignated the 463rd Avionics and Armament Maintenance Squadron).
