PNS Ahsan
The establishment is located on the highest ground of Ormara Hammer Head at a height of 1575 Feet. The unit acts as a coastal radar station for surveillance. PNS AHSAN was previously known as remote data station MIANWALI. The establishment is located on the highest ground of Ormara Hammer Head. PNS AHSAN was commissioned on 30 October 1991 by the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral YASTUR-UL-HAQ MALIK NI(M) S.Bt.
Mission / Aim
To ensure operational availability of surveillance systems while ensuring defence of PN infrastructure in AOR
Roles / Function
Roles / Function of the unit are as under:
- a. Seaward Surveillance/Compilation of RMP
- b. Electronic Intelligence (ELINT) collection
- c. Act as Secondary MHQ
- d. Communication relay station
- e. Co-ordinate Air defence of Ormara complex
- f. Assist in SAR operations
- g. Re-fuelling facilities for helos
- h. Administrative support to PN units at JNB.
- j. Logistic support.

- a. Ensure operational availability of all surveillance and weapon system.
- b. Ensure completion of operational objectives assigned to the unit.
- c. To promote a strong safety culture with a view to enhance understanding of men under command.
- d. Ensure safety of men and material.
