Amir Rashid Muhammad al-Ubaydi
Amir Rashid Muhammad al-Ubaydi was the Minister of Oil under Saddam Hussein's regime. He also reportedly played a major role for Saddam Hussein on weapons delivery systems.
Amir Rashid Muhammad al-Ubaydi is married to Rihab Taha, a microbiologist with a doctorate from University of East Anglia in Britain. Nicknamed "Dr. Germ," Rihab Taha was believed to be in charge of a secret Iraqi facility sepcializing in the weaponizing of biological agents such as anthrax, botulinum toxin, and aflotoxin. Her whereabouts remained unknowned at the time of his capture. He was reported under coalition custody on May 12, 2003, after having turned herselg in during the previous 48 hours.
He surrendered to coalition forces on April 28, 2003.
