Shaibah Airbase
Shaibah Airbase is located approximately 445 kilometers South of Baghdad and about 19 kilometers Southwest of Basra. The airbase is served by a 9,800 foot long runway. This Iraqi military facility includes one 2,975 m and one 520 m asphalt runway. According to the "Gulf War Air Power Survey, there were 10 hardened aircraft shelters at Shaibah of 1991. Sited on open desert, no further unclassified information is available.
