Operational Commands
Geographical areas of responsibility of the Operational Commands are not well documented in the public literature. The Command boundries appear to generally correspond to State boundries, except that Southern Command appears to share parts of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh with Central Command, Haryana with Western Command, and parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat with South West Command. In turn, South West Command seems to share at least a snip of Punjab with Western Command.
