Towboats "Wangerooge" class (722 B)

The main task of Towboats class 722 is hauling and towing of marine vessels, as well as assistance at sea. Furthermore, they are used as target tugs for artillery target practice and to mountains of exercise torpedoes and -minen. It also carried out with them survival training for flight crews. The Towboats Class 722 are manned by civilians.

Within the framework of reconstruction and retrofitting, the towboats were reclassified "Wangerooge" - 722 C, "Spiekeroog" - 722 B
