"Gardno" 207 P class Minesweepers
Minesweepers 207 P ("Gardno" class) were built in Naval Shipyard, Gdynia, in 1983-1990. Low-magnetic ships were designed for MCM operations, built of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) to achieve low magnetic signature. Numerous navies started to develop a new generation of MCM ships in the 70s and 80s built with glass-reinforced plastic material. The lightness and nonmagnetic properties of Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), similar to fiberglass, make this material ideal for this application.
The status of this class is a bit unclear. Combat Fleets reports that many units have been discarded, while the Official Poilsh Navy website depicts them as currently in service. Combat Fleets was a bit confused as to the Lublin-class ships, so they may be confused here as well.
