OMTAS
OMTAS is designed as an anti-tank missile system designed to be fired through a tripod in a composite tube that can be carried by the infantry in order to increase the defense and attack power of the flamethrowers against the armored units, as well as the use of land platforms. ROKETSAN AS OMTAS is a mid-range anti-tank weapon system with an infrared seeker head and 4 km of pre- and post-shot lock and at-forget / at-update feature used against land-to-surface armored targets. This nationally developed weapon system is basically a full-shot missile; a launching system consisting of a shooting platform, a fire control unit and a surveillance unit, a fire control unit and a control unit; transportation boxes and training simulator.
OMTAS is equipped with state of the art technologies making it effective against all armored threats of the modern battlefield. OMTAS is a new generation, man portable middle range anti-tank weapon system, which is made up of the launching tripod, fire control unit, sighting unit (composing the launcher unit) and the missile. OMTAS was developed for use against armored targets at a range of 4 km through firing from its own tripod. All-up-round OMTAS Missile can be integrated onto land vehicles, stabilized land platforms and remote controlled turrets.
