AU 50 Self-propelled 105mm howitzer
The prototype is commissioned in 1949 and completed the same year. The development and experimentation will last until 1955, year of release of the first series models. The AMX-13 was the first self propelled artillery offers a total protection to be built in series; at the same time, it received the first modern 105mm gun developed since the Second World war in Western countries.
