Marine Industries And Services Organization (MIASO)

Marine Industries And Services Organization (MIASO) is sharing the Egyptian society the uprising and development of the Egyptian economy. All activities are carried on in a manner that both retain and enhances a reputation as a market leader and quality supplier. Marine Industries And Services Organization (MIASO) is responsible for managing, operating and holding all kinds of companies and utilities related to the marine and river community inside or outside Egypt. It is also engaged in establishing all kinds of companies and activities in many forms such as (but not limited to): Directly or through one of our company; Sharing with national or international investors.

Contract was signed between the Armament Authority (the Ministry of defense of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt) and Alexandria shipyard with MPC (Munch Meyer Petersen Marine GmbH, Hamburg, Germany) for Building & Delivery of RO-RO vessel (N27) six thousand (6000) metric tons deadweight. The vessel was built under the survey of Lioyds Register of shipping. elivery Date of ( N27 ) at 07/04/2005 . Contract was signed for building & delivery of Ro-Ro (N28) which it’s the sister vessel yard number N27 for the Ministry of defense, Armament Authority of A.R.E. ,The vessel was built under the survey of Lloyds Register of shipping. Delivery Date of ( N28 ) at 30/06/2007. Contract was signed for building & delivery of (30) Containers River for National River Transport Company.

In 1924 Ahmed Abbud pasha - one of the most economical men at that time - founded Elposta Elkhediwia ship lines to ensure a premium quality of ship repair and maintenance to his fleet under the authority of Elposta Elkhediwia Navigation Co. located at a custom zone of Alexandria Port over a land space of 51000m2. After 1952 revolution it transformed to a public company under the authority of the ministry of transportation. In 1966, the yard name changed to its current name, Egyptian Ship Repairs And Building Company (ESRBC), and expanded the yard capability to include shipbuilding as well as ship repair.

Since 2003, the ownership of the company transferred to The Marine Industries And Services Organization (MIASO) under the authority of The Ministry Of Defense as a holding company, which provided another phase of renovation and upgrade on both sectors. In 2007 the company earned the iso 9001:2008 from GL classification society. ESRBC is considered as one of the pioneer companies in the field of shipbuilding and repairs in the Middle East.

Triumph company for maritime transport was established in 2004, one of its subsidiaries witch operate in the field of shipping and maritime transport and shipping agencies. The company owns two ships RORO (Alhurreya - Alhurreya 2), which are fitted for loading and transporting heavy equipment DW of 6,000 tons had been they constructed in 2005 and 2007.

Mamdouh Maritime Legal Solutions (MMLS) moved on June 17, 2014 to execute an arrest order for the RORO ship MV Al Hurreya, in the Red Sea Port of Safaga. The Red Sea Court issued Arrest Order Number 31/2014, signed by High Judge Ahmed Nahfouz. The action was initiated by MMLS client, Admiral Salem El Rafie, Executive Manager of United Captain Group Oil Services of Alexandria, due to unpaid maritime debits in excess of $900,000 USD owed to it by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense (MOD)-owned company, Marine Industries and Services Organization (MISO).
