Hailong 3
“Hailong III” [Sea Dragon] is an exploration-type unmanned cable-controlled submersible developed by the China Oceania Association and developed by the Underwater Engineering Research Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University. It is also the key equipment of China’s “Zhenlong Sea Exploration” project. With a maximum operating depth of 6,000 meters, it has a submarine self-tracking capability and heavy equipment operation capability, and can be equipped with a variety of investigation equipment and heavy sampling tools.
