CA109

The CA109 helicopter is produced in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province of China, by the joint venture invested between Changhe Aircraft and AGUSTA SpA. CA109 is the Chinese name for A109E helicopter sold or produced by the joint venture [CA = China Augusta]. In year 2004, AviCHANGHE signed the agreements with AgustaWestland about the cooperation of the A109E program, which includes the establishment for a joint venture to manufacture and to sell A109E helicopter, repair work for A109E in China, and subcontract production for A109E fuselage and tail boom structure.

The A109E helicopter has great market potentials and extensive applications due to its excellent high & hot performance. The airworthiness certificate of A109E helicopter for various configurations has been obtained in most countries and regions, such as European Union and USA. In the past six years, more than 400 A109E helicopters have been sold worldwide and its annual sales trend toward further increasing, depending on its various applications, all-weather flight, high flexibility, safety and reliability, high performance, comfort, and affordability, At present, the A109E helicopter has became one of the most advanced and best-selling light twin helicopter in the international helicopter market.

September 19, 2005, Jiangxi Changhe-Agusta Helicopter Co., Ltd. was founded formally. The newly established joint venture will work as the prime contractor for the A109E customer in China, and will be responsible for the production, final assembly, sales and service for A109E helicopter in domestic market. As an authorized repair center for A109E helicopter, the joint venture will also be responsible for the selling of spare parts and all kinds of maintenance and repair for A109E helicopter which was sold in domestic market.

The civil airworthiness authorities of more than ten countries, such as CAAC, FAA, UK, France, Germany, and Russia, have certified A109E helicopter. At present, the helicopter configurations used for various applications such as law enforcement, border patrol, military, executive transport,emergency medical service, aerial photographing, and offshore oil rig may be selected.
