Guacolda - General Service motorboat (4a)

Ordered build in Spain at national shipbuilding company shipyard military S.A "Bazun" of Cadiz by D.S. No. 5 of March 06, 1962 and under contract of December 07, 1962, as under the design Lorssen of the Jaguar class torpedo boat. The contract was signed by Rear Admiral Alejandro Navarrete Torres, Director General of the services of the Navy, as a representative of the Treasury of Chile and the engineer Naval José Domingo Arnaiz, in representation of the Spanish company in Santiago of Chile. Captain of Fragata Hugo Alsina Calderón was appointed Chief Inspector of construction, and as Inspector of engineering, the captain of Corbeta Ricardo Ramírez Peradotto.

On November 12, 1963 was the keels of "Guacolda" and "Freesia" were laid. Released to water on 25 August 1964 in a ceremony attended by the Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Chile in Spain, Augusto Marambio, and the Chief of the Naval Mission in England, Captain of navi­o Quinctilius Rivera Mannheim. It was the Lady Olga Marambio Vial de godmother. On July 30, 1965 was performed the ceremony of delivery and receipt, in the presence of the Ambassador of Chile in Spain, Julián Echavarri. With the same date occurs high in the Navy by Decree C.J.A. No. 4520/11 of October 1, 1965. The next day, "Guacolda" became to the sea, to the Ambassador of Chile in Spain, in order to wait for the "esmeralda" school ship which moored to Cadiz, in its instruction cruise taking her aboard. He left Cadiz on Board of the German merchant "Stuttgart" on 25 August 1964, calling to Chile on September 21. Its cost was US $25.463. During his life as torpedo boat was destined for the Beagle Naval district.

Counting the 26 December 1997 goes to desempenarserse as General Service boat.
