Program: Ordered from China in 1993. First
of class handed over 18 December 1994 but subsequent
planned deliveries have been delayed by lack of
funds.
Modernisation: New sonar fitted in 1998.
Structure: This is a new build ship almost
identical to those in service in the Chinese Navy.
Operational: Used mostly as a patrol ship.
