AN/ARC-200(V) HF/SSB Airborne Radio Set
The AN/ARC-200(V) is a solid-state HF/SSB transceiver that provides beyond-line-of-sight communications capability for aircraft. Manufactured by Bendix/King (formerly Allied Signal), it is used in the F/A-18 and the F-16.
The ARC-200 is composed of two subsystems:
- RT-1449(V) Receiver Transmitter
- CU-2312(V) Antenna Coupler
The set has a frequency range of HF, 2-30 MHz in 100 Hz increments; a channel bandwidth of 25kHz; and operates in the following modes: USB, LSB, AME, CW, data USB, data LSB.
The AN/ARC-200(V) HF/SSB Airborne Radio Set is being manufactured by Benix/King for the following platforms: F-16A, F-16B; USN/USMC: F/A-18; and USAF: F-16.
