Operation Steady State
Operation Steady State evolved from the Operation Support Justice series of programs in the Andean countries in 1991 through 1994. These activities were subsequently refocused under Operation Laser Strike, a counterdrug operation conducted at the request of the US Interdiction Coordinator. In early May 1994 the National Security Council decided to stop sharing US radar anti-drug aerial intercept information with the Andean governments.
