Operation RMT (Rocky Mountain Transfer)
Operation RMT (Rocky Mountain Transfer) was the movement of 888 nerve agent bombs from Rocky Mountain Arsenal, CO, to Tooele Army Depot, South Area, UT, conducted in August-September 1981. This was the largest air movement of chemical weapons in history. The bombs were flown aboard Army transports to Dugway Proving Ground and then shipped by truck to Tooele. More than 75 Army Technical Escort Unit personnel participated in the three week movement.
