Operation Salm

Operation Salm was designed to give a higher profile to coalition forces in Fallujah and more exposure to residents. The second objective was to paralyze anti-coalition forces by flooding the streets with soldiers and checkpoints.
This operation took place on December 23, 2003 and lasted from 5:30AM to 3:00PM. Members of the 10th Mountain Division and 82nd Airborne Division participated and reported they detained 12 enemy personnel.
