Operation Commando Viper

Operation Commando Viper was a one day mission conducted on March 1, 2007,to deny the enemy freedom of movement in southern Baghdad. Soldiers of the 2nd Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) and the 4th Brigade, 6th Iraqi Army Division conducted search missions into an area known to coalition forces as Janabi Village, uncovering multiple caches and detaining several Iraqis suspected of being involved in or having knowledge of enemy operations.
