Operation Blore Heath II

Operation Blore Heath II was one of two missions that took place within 48 hours starting on June 24, 2007, in Al Dura'iya. Blore Heath II was spearheaded by Iraqi army soldiers in conjunction with Iraqi 1st National Police Brigade and indirect fire assets from the 3rd HBCT, cleared insurgent caches south of Salman Pak and southeast of Baghdad. Three individuals were detained, mortar rounds and command wire were found, two boats and one vehicle destroyed, and two vehicles were confiscated.
The 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry, 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team killed two insurgents were killed and seven were detained during the two operations.
Operation Blore Heath II was conducted with the Iraqi National Police and the Iraqi army. The operation is part of Multi-National Division-Center's Operation Marne Torch.
