Global Archer is a periodic exercises conducted by U.S. Strategic Command. These exercises are designed as training events to validate and test battle staff, transition to war, and adaptive planning procedures. Activities can involve simulated trans- and post-execution operations utilizing U.S. Strategic Command's Mobile Consolidated Command Center and Airborne Command Post.
Some GLOBAL ARCHER exercises link, when appropriate, to exercises sponsored by Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff and other Unified Commands.
