Larry Di Rita
Deputy for Policy
Larry Di Rita is a graduate of the US Naval Academy and a veteran of the US Navy. He final assignment was as a member of the joint staff under Colin Powell. Following military service he was Deputy Director of Foreign Policy and Defense Studies at the Heritage Foundation until 1996. In 1996 he was Policy Director to the 1996 Presidential campaign of U.S. Senator Phil Gramm. Following the campaign he was Legislative Director, then Chief of Staff, for U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison until 2001 when he joined the Department of Defense. Larry is veteran of the U.S. Navy. His final tour was on the Joint Staff under General Colin Powell. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, and he has a Master's Degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
