Lt. General Ron Adams (retired)
Deputy Director ORHAM

General Adams began his active military service as a platoon leader with the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment. He went on to command cavalry units during two combat tours in Vietnam and during service with the 2nd Armored Division, 9th Infantry Division and with III Corps at various posts in the United States. He subsequently commanded a battalion of the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea and a brigade of the 25th Infantry Division (Light) in the Pacific. During the Persian Gulf War, he was Assistant Division Commander of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault). From 1994 to 1996, he was Commanding General, United States Army Aviation Center and School and Fort Rucker, Alabama while simultaneously serving as Commandant, US Army Aviation Logistics School, Fort Eustis, Virginia. Prior to coming to Bosnia, General Adams was Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, Allied Land Forces, Central Europe.

In other assignments, General Adams served as: Military Assistant and Aide to the Secretary of the Army; Executive Assistant to the Deputy Commander in Chief and Chief of Staff U.S. Pacific Command; Chief of Staff of the Army Strategic Fellow at the Army War College; Director of Requirements, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans, the Army Staff; and, more recently, as Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans and Force Development, Army Staff, with concurrent duty as Army Member, JROC Review Board, the Joint Staff.
