MILES
clearly rules the battlefield at the National Training Center. If units are
proficient with MILES gunnery, they stand a superb chance of defeating the
OPFOR. To assist units with their training, the Scorpion Mechanized Infantry
Task Force Trainers at the NTC have developed this Simulated Area Weapons Effects
(SAWE)/Multiple-Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) II Handbook to assist
all units on how to train with the MILES. This document covers every aspect,
from installation and troubleshooting to boresighting procedures for all weapons
systems. Units who are proficient with MILES will greatly enhance their overall
training effectiveness on the NTC battlefield.
