    e.  Major Changes.
        (1) The MARC figures have been applied to these TOE and
the radios have been reconfigured based on the latest approved

        (2) The base was reviewed to ensure that equipment was
modernization.
2.  MISSION/CAPABILITIES/SECTION I.
    a.  To close with and destroy the enemy by means of fire and
maneuver in order to destroy or capture him, or to repel his
assault by fire, close combat, and counterattack.

6.  COST.
    a.  Cost Analysis Summaries for each of the Objective TOE are
provided below.
    b.  Force structure information for each TOE is based on
current M-Force and E-Date 20051016.
    c.  HQDA approved commodity consumption rates were used in
the development of these TOE's and are reflected in the Cost
Analysis Summaries.
    d.  The differences in cost are primarily due to the
demodernization of the Base TOE.

       (3) CONDUCTS INDEPENDENT OPERATIONS ON A LIMITED SCALE.
       (4) PROVIDES MORTAR FIRE SUPPORT FOR ORGANIC AND
   ATTACHED UNITS.
       (5) CONDUCTS PATROLLING OPERATIONS.
       (6) PARTICIPATES IN AIRMOBILE AND/OR MECHANIZED
   OPERATIONS WHEN PROVIDED WITH APPROPRIATE TRANSPORTATION
   ASSETS.
       (7) PARTICIPATES IN AIRMOBILE AND/OR AIRBORNE OPERATION
   WHEN PROVIDED WITH APPROPRIATE AIR TRANSPORT.
       (8) MANEUVERS IN ALL TYPES OF TERRAIN UNDER ALL
   CLIMATIC CONDITIONS.
       (9) PARTICIPATES IN AMPHIBIOUS OPERATIONS.
       (10) PARTICIPATES IN COUNTERINSURGENCY OPERATIONS AS
   PART OF A BRIGADE SIZE FORCE.

   UNIT MAINTENANCE ON AUTOMOTIVE AND POWER GENERATION
   EQUIPMENT.
       (3) A US AIR FORCE TACTICAL AIR CONTROL PARTY (TACP)
   FOR DIRECTING TACTICAL AIR SUPPORT.
       (4) SUPPORTING ARTILLERY BATTALION (LIGHT), TOE
   06125L000 FOR FIRE SUPPORT.
       (5) APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF THE DIVISION OR CORPS
  TOE 01115A000 FOR AVIATION AIRCRAFT ASSETS TO PERFORM
  AIRMOBILE.
